Biography
Tommy (Zhen Yang) Pan practices a wide variety of Business Litigation, Civil Litigation, and Intellectual Property Law matters. His IP practice is primarily focused on trademark, copyright, licensing, and litigation. Mr. Pan is also experienced in drafting and negotiating business and licensing contracts and agreements. He is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese and Shanghainese which allows him to communicate with a diverse clientele. Mr. Pan’s diverse experience and extensive knowledge of Intellectual Property and Business matters ensures that clients will obtain the best possible outcome in their case.
Prior to joining the Wang IP Law Group, Mr. Pan worked as an associate attorney at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP counseling high profile international businesses on compliance with Chinese regulations and defending international businesses in casualty claims.
Tommy received his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco Law School in San Francisco, CA. There, Mr. Pan received the University of San Francisco Dean’s Scholarship and worked as a member on the Intellectual Property Law Bulletin. During law school, Mr. Pan also worked as a summer associate for a global law firm in Beijing, China where he drafted memos for foreign trademark registrations and published articles on the Chinese government’s anti-monopoly matters.
Prior to law school, Mr. Pan graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Law: English. At USC, Mr. Pan was a member of both the USC Pre-Law Society and the National Academic Honor Society.
