Biography
Ya-Chi Feng is a technical advisor who has worked in several areas of intellectual property law. Ms. Feng is a graduate of Northwestern Pritzker School of Law’s prestigious Master of Science in Law (MSL) program, which focuses its graduate curriculum on intellectual property, business, and regulatory law. During her time at Northwestern University, Ms. Feng also studied at the university’s Kellogg School of Management, developing skills in business formation and structure, contract law and design, business strategy, accounting, business torts and employments law. Additionally, Ms. Feng earned her law degree at Taiwan’s Soochow University School of Law where she took courses in civil law, civil procedure, criminal law, and criminal procedure. Prior to her graduate studies, Ms. Feng attended National Taiwan University’s College of Medicine where she earned her Bachelor of Sciences in Occupational Therapy. During her time at the Taiwan National University, Ms. Feng studied a range of sciences including orthotics, prosthetics, internal medicine, general chemistry, machinery, kinesiology, and anatomy.
Before joining the Wang IP Law Group, P.C., Ms. Feng was a technology specialist at Jianq Chyun Intellectual Property Group in Taipei, Taiwan. Ms. Feng is experienced with patent prosecution in Taiwan, China, and the United States. Coupled with her mastery of English, Mandarin Chinese, and Taiwanese, she is able to guide and assist an international clientele navigating the complications of obtaining patents across North America, Europe, and Asia. While at Jianq Chyun IP Group, Ms. Feng specialized in the fields of medicine, machinery, and design, drafting numerous patents and appeals for both individuals and large and well-known corporations. Additionally, Ms. Feng worked alongside several prominent international technology companies such as Samsung, Shimadzu, and Varian Associates in a wide range of intellectual property matters. Ms. Feng also has conducted multinational patent law research regarding design patents and The Hague System.
