International Patent Search Analyst
Location: USA – CA – City of Industry

The International Patent Search Analyst at Wang IP Law Group, P.C. will conduct patent searches of United States and International patents for clients. The International Patent Search Analyst reports directly to the managing partner of the firm and is responsible for providing substantial research and analysis of patent litigation.

The International Patent Search Analyst must be familiar with international patent procedures, specifically in the United States, China, and Taiwan.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patent searches of United States and International patents for clients
  • Research and analysis of patent litigation
  • Assisting patent attorneys with the freedom to operate and clearance analyses
  • Review of prior art and preparing claim chart
  • Utilize medical sciences background and experiences to understand each invention or patent disclosure
  • Conducting and analyzing the results of prior art searches
  • Conduct and analyze infringement and non-infringement patent issues and claims
  • Maintaining knowledge of latest patent laws in order to assist lawyers with drafting legal documents.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor, Master or Ph.D in a technical or scientific field, preferably in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, or Chemistry.
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese, and excellent written and communication skills is a plus;
  • Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and due diligence skills
  • Ability to absorb and analyze complex material in order to produce timely, accurate, insightful and concise work product.
  • International Patent experience preferable
  • Must thrive in fast-paced environment; strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English and Chinese-Mandarin preferred.
