Ann Chen received her Bachelor of Law in Adjudication Division, equivalent to a J.D., at National Taiwan University. She graduated law school with high honors and received the National Taiwan University Presidential Award three years in a row for her outstanding academic performance. Ms. Chen later attended the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (Boalt Hall) to obtain her Masters of Law (LL.M) degree with a concentration in business law.

Ms. Chen has passed the bar exam in Taiwan and California and is uniquely qualified to practice law in both locations. Her dual licenses in California, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and Taiwan allow her to counsel clients with both U.S. and Asian investments and business interests. She also possesses practical knowledge in the field of international corporate law and has strong connections to the Asian legal and business market.

Prior to joining Wang IP Law Group, P.C., Ms. Chen served as a legal intern and later became an associate attorney at one of the top ten Chinese law firms. Here, Ms. Chen developed her knowledge of business law by drafting business contracts and consulting foreign business clients on investments in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, Japan, Europe, Thailand and Taiwan. Ms. Chen has extensive knowledge and experience providing legal counsel to her international clientele regarding regulatory matters involving the Federal Drug Administration, Intellectual Property, Security, Corporate Law, and Real Estate. She is also experienced in intellectual property from her time working with the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office. As a result of Ms. Chen’s outstanding research abilities, Ms. Chen was given the prestigious opportunity to participate in the compilation of the United States Patent Litigation Handbook published by the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office. This extraordinary task required her to give constructive and groundbreaking patent strategy suggestions for Taiwanese businesses and the Taiwanese government.

As an international business and corporate attorney, Ms. Chen conducts legal research, complaint and agreement documents, and negotiations in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Taiwanese. She has vast experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contract domestically and internationally. She has successfully assisted multiple clients by negotiating, coordinating, and drafting vendor license agreements to fully protect the client’s intellectual property rights.

Ms. Chen is able to help a diverse array of clients as she is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Taiwanese.
